It is funded by the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, and is administered by IREX. The year-long program begins with a ten-week online course that is both challenging and incredibly informative, followed by a two-day symposium in Washington, D.C. It ends with a two- to three-week international field experience. In 2017-2018, fellows went to Morocco, Senegal, Peru, India, Indonesia, and Colombia.
